Review: The Girl Who Chased the Moon

The Girl Who Chased the Moon
The Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"Garden Spells" was the first book by Sarah Addison Allen that I picked up and read. I loved it! I didn't think the next could be as good. It was even better. Each book by Sarah is better than the last. This one is no exception. It takes place in North Carolina and is full of delightful characters oozing Southern charm and eccentricities. And as always there is magic. In this town, there are also secrets. Emily's mother is killed in a car accident and she comes to live with a grandfather she has never known. She must unlock the town secrets to know her mother and to find her place. Julia returned to Mullaby 18 months ago to see to her father's estate. She is running his BBQ restaurant and counting the days until she can return to Baltimore. She must revisit her own past and make peace with herself before she can embrace her future and happiness. Such a wonderful book. I highly recommend this and Sarah Addison Allen's other books as well.
